    Herndon UMC is one of the local congregations which support The Closet through their volunteer service. This is a great opportunity for adults or for high school students. Service hours will count for high school students. You can do your part to help The Closet continue to be successful by offering a few hours of time to meet Herndon UMC’s

  • Thank God for Tutors (TGFT) -- Help Wanted

    This rapidly growing ministry of Herndon UMC is in need of your help to build on a good team already in place. We need another greeter, a chemistry back-up tutor and any and all who are proficient in high school math subjects. Your commitment is about 1 hour per week. Tutoring takes place every Wednesday night from 7-8 pm.


  • Trunk or Treat -- Oct 27

    Join us for TRUNK OR TREAT on Saturday, October 27 from 3-5pm in the front parking lot of Herndon UMC. Trunk or Treat is a great alternative (or addition) to traditional Trick or Treating. Wear your costume and bring your treat bags to collect lots of candy and other fun goodies as you trick or treat around the decorated car trunks. There will

    Autumn has arrived!  It is a time honored tradition at Herndon UMC for the United Methodist Men (UMM) to work together and make some delicious Brunswick Stew.  This stew is the real deal, cooked in a big pot over an open flame with fresh ingredients and hours of preparation and cooking.  Return

  • Sunday Morning Hospitality

    Every Sunday morning, Herndon UMC hopes to offer a time that invites members to connect and welcomes our members and guests.

    On the second Sunday of every month, have a shared fellowship time in the Fellowship Hall entry way with coffee, lemonade, tea and snacks to share between the 9am and 10:30am services.
